Something Gorgeous
A Rainbow Hallway Made of Numerals

100 colors no.50 "SERPENTI" by Emmanuelle Moureaux
I am manifesting in 2024 that every hallway I ever own will look like this. The Italian luxury fashion brand BVLGARI celebrated its 75th anniversary with collaborations with contemporary artists in Tokyo at an exhibition titled Infinite Tale.
This installation by Emmanuelle Moureaux uses Roman numerals from 1 to 100 on 100 acrylic panels with a gradation of 100 colors. Absolutely gorgeous and a big dose of dopamine.
If you are in Tokyo, hurry to see it before the hordes of Instagrammers capture their photos!
Portfolio of the Week
Personality, Personality, Personality

Tania Natalnael
Have you heard of the personality hire? It’s that one person whose energy is contagious. That’s how Tania’s design portfolio feels—her personality shines through her work.
Her homepage uses neon green, earthy colors, playful scribbles, scroll animations, and video thumbnails to highlight her recent work.
Project Pages: Tania designs each project page slightly differently, including project overview, research, initial design work, and outcomes.
Check out my TikTok about creating amazing design stories like hers. 👌

This Passion Project Kicks A$$

Spirulina & Chlorella by Alexey Firstov
Alexey transformed his passion for healthy eating into a visually stunning project with color, motion, data, and texture.
👏👏👏
Mamma Mia This Paster is Delicious!

Pasters Visual Identity by Roman & Jenya Shtein
A fun design project from Italy. Love the script-to-sans-serif pairings trend.
Your New Year’s Hangover Solution

Hangover Whopper Campaign by DM9
A mobile app that tells you how much burger you need to cure your hangover. On-brand for me, but team McDonald’s.
One Gram
Welcome to the Auntieverse, My Brain Needs a Hug

@niceaunties
The Auntieverse is a psychedelic, humorous, and overwhelming world filled with kind Asian aunties and their environments.
This post “Bear to Bull” (B2B) is a collaboration with @pancakepie360 and shows a holiday parade of animals escaping their zoos.
One Lesson
10 Things I’m Designing into My 2024

I shared 20 things from 2023 last week; here are 10 things I plan to design into 2024.
My process: sit with pen & paper → transfer ideas into Notion with icons & covers → break into actionable steps → remind myself these take time.
10 Things:
Taking Spanish class and mastering a second language
Writing 52 editions of Creative Juice, 12 Portfolio Squeezes, 12 Beefy Briefs
Being an amazing Uncle
Build a platform connecting creatives with clients
Launch a design studio that works 7-8 months/year
Host a bi-monthly video call connecting creatives worldwide
Live in Bali for another year
Travel more through Asia
Get another tattoo or three
Create materials (book/course) to help designers make better portfolio websites
I hope your 2024 is off to a great start!
