Resource of the Week

Framer

I have been messing around with Framer as I prepare to release my first portfolio website design. Framer recently released their AI assistant, which can generate a fully designed page when you type in what you want. You can then customize typography and colors.

Why is this awesome? It drastically shortens website creation time, allowing more focus on content and visuals.

Framer is free with a Framer URL, or you can sign up for a paid account for a custom URL here.

Something Gorgeous

The Drop Store by OWOW

A waterless world sounds dystopian, right? By 2050, over half of humanity may struggle to access water for at least one month per year. OWOW partnered with creative agency Neverland to create The Drop Store, showcasing dystopian-style products like an $890 bag of chocolate squares or $99 bag of cola.

While the products aren't available for purchase, the project’s design and development are gorgeous and effectively educate visitors on contributing to water preservation.

My favorite: the $239 "Betterbread".

Check out more from OWOW and Neverland.

Portfolio Of The Week

Vikki Breusova

Vikki is a product designer with 7+ years of experience. Her portfolio showcases interactive storytelling, elegant scroll interactions, and thoughtful use of negative space.

Her header and about section utilize repetition to increase visual interest, and I love her Helvetica-like typography. Hero typeface: Suisse Int'l by Swiss Typefaces. Secondary typeface: Tobias by Displaay.

Portfolio Rating: 8.4/10

Built with: Webflow

Creative Finds

Mill by Manual

"If you can eat it, so can the bin." Manual designed a strong identity for the food waste company Mill.

NFType

NFType allows customers to purchase unique typefaces. Initially, it seemed focused on ownership and licensing verification, but it goes deeper. This interview by Creative Boom explains the project’s purpose.

Ostro by Mucho

The identity for Ostro is stunning, and I appreciate the visual work regardless of the company’s industry. Shoutout to A Hundred Monkeys for renaming the company from "rxdefine."

ONE TOK

Noodle and Buns

I love these animated 3D renders from Noodle and Bun. They even sell plushies of these animations and have a strong Instagram following. Creativity wins over traditional marketing!

One Thing I Learned

Reset & Reorganize Life

Thanks to everyone who sent kind replies while I was under the weather! There’s a lot of interest in a monthly portfolio roundup in addition to Creative Juice. The first "Portfolio Squeeze" edition will release at the end of June.

After a rough week, I reorganized personal processes and task management. I’ve been experimenting with the PARA method from Tiago Forte and consolidated tools into Notion, which has been working great.

Also, I’ve decided to enroll in a year visa program in Bali, Indonesia to create a stable base for my projects and work.

Question: What have you done personally to create the best work environment for yourself?

PS: Share your recommendations by replying to this email—I read and reply to every single one!
