This week I am excited to share a new project that I have been working on to inspire your next portfolio website. I also share a really fast drone, some human data branding, and a free illustration resource.
Creative Juice is a weekly newsletter published every Monday morning so you can start your week feeling inspired creatively to make cool sh*t and get paid for it. Every Monday I share something gorgeous, a portfolio of the week, three creative finds, one amazing post from social media, and one lesson I learned recently.
If you have an idea of how I can improve Creative Juice and make it better, feel free to submit your feedback here.

Something Gorgeous
Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Vitra Color Frame Mirror by Julie Richoz
Julie Richoz's Colour Frame Mirror for Vitra is a blend of childlike playfulness and sophisticated design. Drawing inspiration from wooden building blocks, Richoz combines color, shape, and material to create a functional yet visually captivating piece. The lacquered wood frame, with its gently rounded edges and angled cuts, adds depth and character while providing a subtle shelf. Available in multiple sizes and color combinations, these mirrors can be arranged to form different compositions on any wall. Richoz's approach to color pairing results in a gorgeous and modern aesthetic.
Portfolio of the Week
You Can Do A Lot With One Page

Sam George
Do you really need another page? I have caught myself asking this to a lot of website design clients. And more recently I see many designers ask themselves this for their portfolios. Why make visitors click through another page to get important information?
Sam George is a design lead at Work & Co based in Brooklyn, NY. His portfolio condenses content so visitors can quickly see his skills and quality of work. He also brings entire project galleries to the homepage.
Things to note about Sam's portfolio website:
Clear heading of what he does at the top
Each project has a concise overview
Multiple images per project to tell the full story
Score: 8.4/10

Creative Finds
Google Meet Portfolio Website

Máuhan is an entrepreneur, executive, and conceptual artist. He worked with design studio Vicine to create a portfolio website that simulates Google Meet. Perhaps I’ll detail this further in the Portfolio Squeeze.
Big Data Energy

U Group Branding by For The People
A playful and human-like brand built for U Group, a data company giving people control over their data. I love the use of overlaying elements throughout their materials.
Plants Fish Birds Oh My

Engraved Wildlife Illustrations by Lorenz Oken
Lorenz Oken’s Allgemaine Naturgeschichte Für Alle Stände is a treasure trove of detailed wildlife illustrations. The atlas features over 5,000 pages covering species from insects to plants. The entire collection is available in the Biodiversity Heritage Library, with illustrations free to download for your projects.
One Tok
The World's Fastest Film Drone

@dutchdronegods
I can’t say I’m the biggest F1 fan, but this drone made me want to watch more. The design and engineering are impressive. Watch the full video on YouTube.
One Lesson
A Place for Portfolio Inspiration

Over the last few weeks I’ve been working on a new project on callthedesignguy.com. I talk about portfolios a lot in this newsletter, The Portfolio Squeeze, YouTube, and TikTok. A solid portfolio can jumpstart your creative career.
I’m creating a gallery dedicated to the best portfolios I find across the web. Each portfolio example will include the platform, typefaces, color palette, and a link. You can see an example here. More to come soon!
PS. If you signed up for a portfolio review with me, I am slowly working through them. Thank you for your patience.
