Happy April Fool's Day. This week's Creative Juice is filled with color, animation, and some ASMR to get you inspired. I'm sure we'll be seeing a ton of parody projects being released from brands today. I'll be sure to share them in next week's edition of Creative Juice. I'm also trying out something new with the content and keeping things a bit shorter. Let me know what you think with a reply.
Creative Juice is a weekly newsletter published every Monday morning so you can start your week feeling inspired creatively to make cool sh*t and get paid for it. Every Monday I share something gorgeous, a portfolio of the week, three creative finds, one amazing post from social media, and one lesson I learned recently.
If you have an idea of how I can improve Creative Juice and make it better, feel free to submit your feedback here.

Something Gorgeous
Move Over Fred Again, The Kids Are Coming

myTRACKS Kid's MIDI Controller by Blipbox
Move over Fred Again! Blipbox is starting a crowdfunding project for their cute little myTRACKS MIDI controller for kids. While it might not be "as gorgeous" as previous SGs I've shared here, I love the idea of this product. More people are pursuing music production as a career—why not make it available for the youth?
Portfolio of the Week
Another One Page Portfolio I Love

Es Youn
Yet another design one-page portfolio website that has me amazed. The quality of work Es has put into her projects speaks for itself. My favorite part of portfolios like this is that you get to see a lot of work at once. It gives a quick snapshot of the designer's style and taste, which is one of the most important things.

Who Killed the Monkey?

Email Is Dead Exhibition by Something Special Studios
An ironic exhibition showcasing why email isn't actually dead by one of my favorite studios, Something Special Studios. The exhibition includes interactive rooms with quizzes, printed artwork, and even cloud couches to send an email or two.
Ooey Gooey Cookies

Doha Dough by My Creative
The logo for this dessert gifting store just oozes decadence. Looking at it brings visuals of a big, warm, chocolate chip cookie being split with melty chocolate flowing across.
This Website Animation Is Squiggly

This Website Animation Is Cray
Newpeace is a tech company supporting online communities. The header animation communicates this with a complex scrolling animation. It seems to combine video assets and Lottie animations—can't tell for sure, but it’s awesome.
One Gram
Pastel Chair ASMR

@charlierose.makes
I can’t remember the last time I drew with oil pastels—probably as a kid. This video from Charlie Rose drawing a beautiful pink chair just put my eyes at ease. I love the soft smoothing technique used on the chair.
One Lesson
Focusing On Work That Fulfills You

We work because we have to. Life responsibilities sometimes require putting our dreams aside.
However, that doesn't mean they must stay there. We can hold on to our dreams, do what is needed now, and get back to pursuing them.
Last week I spoke with a creative over a portfolio review. We discussed visually branding yourself on your portfolio website (the review will be released shortly).
In that review it hit me!
I love working with creative people—people who take words and ideas and turn them into visual solutions. Images. Drawings. These are the people I want to work with every day.
You’ll have many such moments in your career. Over time, these realizations connect into a recurring message.
Take notice. Be patient. And keep your dreams close to you.
PS. Would love your feedback on this week’s Creative Juice. Do you like the shorter descriptions or prefer more juice?
