No Ai Here Said Cara
Cara Portfolio Platform
Cara is a new social media platform and portfolio app for artists to share their original works while also monitoring for Ai generated images which are not allowed on the platform. Cara also uses a tool called Glaze to protect the original works of artists from being replicated by Ai. It is really cool to see how Cara is advocating for artists and creatives in the current landscape of Ai. The creative community has definitely rallied behind this project as the platform has grown from a few thousand users to more than 300,000 over the weekend.

An Easy to Navigate Portfolio Website
Ivan Kniazev
I know I've ranted before how I'm not a huge fan of a sidebar navigation but the more I see it, the more comfortable I am with it. I'll contribute it to the rise in Ai interfaces and how that is becoming a new norm. Anyway, back to Ivan's portfolio website. I selected Ivan's portfolio for this week because of his very simple and easy to navigate projects within the sidebar. At first I thought they were tags that were a part of a bio or something. After clicking into them I was able to breeze through his work very quickly to get a sense of his design skills. I also appreciate how his homepage is dedicated to his background, process, and includes a brief slideshow of his work. I would hire Ivan based on his portfolio website.

Digital design studio, Buttermax, has created a bubbly interactive website for Slosh Seltzer complete with a soundtrack that makes you feel like you're in a early 2000's soda commercial.
Drink With Your Nose
Air Up Rebrand by Mother Design
The full case study isn't up on Mother's website just yet but I'm loving the bold bright colors of the marketing materials. Also, kind of crazy concept. Tricking your body to think you're drinking something other than water by using scent.
A Healthy Computer?
Daylight Computer Website
If a kindle and an iPad had a baby in a household that was anti blue light. This is what it would be. Looks like a very interesting device but I'm more intrigued by the website design and experience. Loving the horizontal scrolling to highlight the product features.

This week I quickly slapped together the beginnings of a new project. It feels weird to keep spinning up new things for me to maintain but at the same time. It can feel very energizing to push yourself to do something scrappy like this.
I want to introduce designjobs.ai ! This is the first iteration of a job board that I have put together to surface some of the exciting design roles emerging in the market.
