You don't always need to re-invent the wheel.
This week's Creative Juice features a Swiss wonderland, a new set of wheels, and literal illustrations that will make you laugh.
Creative Juice is a weekly newsletter published every Monday morning so you can start your week feeling inspired creatively to make cool sh*t and get paid for it. Every Monday I share something gorgeous, a portfolio of the week, three creative finds, one amazing post from social media, and one lesson I learned recently.
If you have an idea of how I can improve Creative Juice, feel free to submit your feedback here.

Something Gorgeous
Walking In a Swiss Wonderland

Lights of Switzerland by Jennifer Esseiva
Landscape photographer Jennifer Esseiva captures the countryside of Switzerland under the snowy pink skies of the aurora borealis. The series transports you to a vast and unrecognizable world that you can get lost in.
Portfolio of the Week
A Stretching Portfolio Website

Tanya Tikhonova
This isn't the usual portfolio website I share here. Tanya is a Yoga instructor offering online classes for all levels. The design and layout of her website grabbed my attention as she walks visitors through her services and how they can work with her. This approach is something I wish I saw applied more to portfolio websites of designers and creatives.

Creative Finds
Redesigning The Wheel

Apex Wheels Brand Design by Asis
A bold typographic rebrand for Apex Wheels by Argentinian design studio Asis. The custom typeface is an amalgamation of Avante Garde, Kabel, Serif Gothic, and Busorama. The project evokes the classic racing era with a modern approach.
Pimpin All Over The World

PimpMyTrip Social Art Direction by Studio Impulso
Studio Impulso built a rich and colorful social universe for tourism app PimpMyTrip. This is a great example for anyone focusing on social media design. They extended the brand language across all social formats.
Somewhere in a Hotel

Get An Airbnb Campaign by Buck
Creative agency Buck employs a 3D isometric style to create a mini-world of real-life Airbnbs and what you get versus staying at a hotel.
One Gram
Drawing Things Literally

@surrealians
Nadia Tolstoy produces humorous illustrations that turn the cogs of your imagination. This series is called Surrealians.
One Lesson
The Design Market is Shifting

Last week I asked what you are struggling with. The majority of responses were about finding/landing job opportunities.
I am seeing a few things happening right now:
Companies/clients are looking for creative ways to get as much value out of their budgets.
Service providers are shifting to always-on subscription models.
The new "hot" industry is shifting towards anything and everything Ai/Tech.
The current job market is competitive.
What does this mean?
Personally, I have been reflecting on my career as a designer. I have been a graphic designer for 10 years. The last 2 years have involved creating social content around growing your portfolio as well as focusing on my personal design practice. I have decided to finish current client projects to focus on creating my own product connecting creatives with new job opportunities. Shifting my energy towards a new project feels like the right move.
More to come soon...
